MyCiTi Bus
The MiCiTi bus service, also known as the MyCiTi bus service, is a bus rapid transit (BRT) system in Cape Town, South Africa. The service was launched in 2010 as part of the city’s public transportation system and provides a fast, efficient and safe mode of transportation for commuters.
The MiCiTi bus service operates on a dedicated bus-only lane and provides a high-frequency service, with buses arriving at stops every 10 to 15 minutes during peak hours. It has over 200 stops and serves over 50 routes across Cape Town, including the city center, suburbs and outlying areas.
The buses are air-conditioned, low-floor and fully accessible to people with disabilities. The system also features real-time information displays at bus stops and onboard GPS tracking, which allows passengers to track their bus in real-time using a mobile app.
In addition to the standard MiCiTi bus service, the system also includes premium express services, which provide a faster and more direct service for passengers traveling between key destinations.
